The UK Government published the Clean Energy Jobs Plan setting out workforce estimates to double employment to 860,000 and create around 400,000 extra clean energy jobs by 2030; the plan names 31 priority occupations and will open 5 Technical Excellence Colleges. It is backed by record private and public investment (over £50 billion announced since July 2024) and links public grants and procurements to fair work and skills criteria.
