Framatome 100% E-ATF assembly completes second 48-month cycle

Framatome announced its industry-first, 100% PROtect E-ATF lead fuel assembly completed its second 24-month cycle (48 months total) in a U.S. nuclear power plant with DOE-funded development. The LFA contains 176 chromium-coated rods with chromia-enhanced pellets, was fabricated in Richland, Washington under a 2019 contract, and will enter its third cycle in spring 2027.

BIS and HKMA publish Project Symbiosis NEMO key findings

The BIS Innovation Hub Hong Kong Centre and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority published Part 1 key findings of Project Symbiosis on 17 October 2025, presenting the Net Emissions Optimiser (NEMO) proof-of-concept. The 19-page report outlines applied technology research showing how new technologies can reduce emissions information gaps for corporations, the financial sector and SMEs.
